Jack Cohen is a seasoned business leader with over 43 years of experience in commercial real estate and beyond. As the former CEO of Cohen Financial for 25 years, he led the company through six successful recapitalizations.
Currently, Jack wears multiple hats: Managing Director at Arrowmark Partners, Head of Strategy for Saluda Grade, and founder of Darkknight Ventures. Through Darkknight, he acts as a “mentor capitalist,” coaching executives, consulting on strategic initiatives, and investing in promising businesses.
Jack’s industry influence extends to leadership roles in key organizations like the Mortgage Bankers Association and Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, where he received the Founder’s Award for lifetime contributions.
A big believer in passing on his wisdom to the next generation, Jack has taught at prestigious institutions including Northwestern University, Claremont Mckenna College, New York University, and the University of Colorado. He recently authored The Freedom Frameworks, a book providing a roadmap to ambitious young professionals for how to achieve career independence.
